5 questions for you...

1. What part of your job is most rewarding?

The most rewarding part of my job is communicating and meeting new people while seeing old faces. Humans in general are amazing and I value the opportunity to be able to interact with many in various fields for many different projects.

2. What was the moment that made you realize you wanted to do what you do now?

From a very young age I always had a passion for talking to people and being creative whenever I got the opportunity. From giving a presentation to coming up with the perfect book report, I wanted to share a message and connect borders. I made a decision, somewhat in my head, to embrace being in the community and whenever given the chance to share my knowledge by communicating and being hands on with things that needed to be done.

3. What could you spend all day talking about?

I could spend hours and hours talking about collaboration and planning events and creating ways to connect resources to those in need. And not to forget sharing the richness of my Hindu/Guyanese customs and culture. There is so much to do and share. We live in NYC where it is a melting pot of people from all around the world! For too long people have thought that words were enough, nowadays we need to bring those words and plans to reality by acting. I can keep talking about this…

4. Your favorite characteristic of your best friend?

Honesty, Trust, Creativeness, Kindness and picking up where-ever our conversation was, even if months pass by. Accepting me for me and not being afraid to speak freely.

5. What is the first thing you notice about a new employee?

Attitude and body language screams louder than a voice that wants to be heard! When there is a new guest as I see them, either they can make their new work place their home for a permanent stay or never settle no matter what the accommodations are by the way they carry themselves.
