Meet Laura Dunn, Founder and Editor of Political Style, a fashion and Director of LED Media. In addition to running her fashion, politics, and lifestyle blog, she is also a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and has been featured on Vanity Fair, The Daily Beast and Politico. Despite having so much on her plate, Laura was nice enough to sit down with us and answer a few questions during this busy holiday season.
1) What inspired you to start your blog Political Style?
I’ve always loved fashion and politics, and I started Political Style in 2008 as a way of writing about my interests. The blog has grown since then, and I’ve been really lucky to have worked with some great brands and individuals as well as travelling to some great cities as a result!
2) How would you describe your own personal style?
I would describe my style as preppy and classic but with a twist. My go-to outfit is a pair of black jeans or pants, teamed with a breton tee or shirt and finished off with a blazer. I gravitate towards elegant black dresses that I can accessorize with a great pair of heels and some chic jewels. My favorite brands are Tory Burch, J.Crew, Vineyard Vines and naturally, Of Mercer!
3) What will you be wearing this Christmas Eve?
Christmas Eve usually means entertaining in my household! This year I’ll be wearing the Of Mercer Fulton Dress teamed with Tory Burch’s Chase pump, the Fireburst earrings from J.Crew and the Class Act bracelet from Knotty Gal. Simple and chic!
